---Why was the European Union created


· It would bring peace to countries of the EU and bring them together.

· To bring safety and security the countries of the EU.

· To help boost or help the economy in the countries of the EU.

· To bring together the European coal and steel community, which would help boost the economy.

· To have the countries become a trading power.



--- Give a thorough history of the European Union?

· 1950’s – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, and the Netherlands form the EU.

· 1950 – The European coal and steel community form together to bring peace and bring up the economy.

· 1957 – Rome signs a treaty forming the European Economic Common Market or the (EEC).

· 1960’s – With the pop stars such as the Beatles attracting teens the economy was boosted.

· 1968 – Kids in Paris start revolts on the government more frequently.

· 1973 – Denmark, Ireland, and the United Kingdom join the EU.

· 1981 – Greece joins the EU.

· 1993 – The single market act is finished along with the four freedoms – (Goods, Services, people, and money.)

· To decrease the gap between the rich and the poor in the countries.

· Political advantages and stability such as easier traveling and help to find people jobs.

· Economical advantages that will help the EU’s wealth. Also will allow transfer of goods, freedom to provide services, goods, and the transfer of capital.

· Cost of items will be reduced and farms will become bigger and better.

· Safety and Security will help the Europeans. Such as safety for people, jobs, and health.

· Children will be able to afford or get a better education.

· The government with form groups to try and help improve the environment.

· No, Ukraine is not currently a member of the European Union.

--If it isn’t a member when will it join?

· Ukraine is undecided if it wants to join do to join.

· Some concerning factors about the people of Ukraine’s feelings toward joining.

· Also the are concerned on how Russia will react.


--What could be the pros and cons of Ukraine joining the EU?

· It would help boost Ukraine economy.

· It would benefit the citizens of Ukraine by improving the security, health care, and jobs.

· It would help bring peace to the Ukraine.

· It would help Ukraine politically and may help improve the government.

· Ukraine would be a lot safer from attack if it joined the EU.

· Ukraine’s military power would grow larger.

· One of the only cons is that if Ukraine joins it may cause some controversy with Russia.

· Another con is that some citizens might feel better if they were independent from the EU.

---How will the EU benefit the Ukraine even if it isn’t a part of the EU?

· It has opened trade routes boosting Ukraine’s economy and Ukraine and the EU have formed together to make a pact that will improve Ukraine’s government by working with them.
